What happened around the world
Meta’s advertising machine found more opportunities to show an ad—and charged more for them.
On July 29, Meta reported that ad impressions across Facebook, Instagram and its other apps rose 14% year over year in the second quarter of 2026. The average price per ad rose 12%. Advertising revenue reached $59.36 billion, up 27%. Those are Meta’s reported figures.
The company also reported an average of 3.60 billion daily users across its family of apps in June, up 3% from a year earlier. Meta says AI is accelerating its core business; that is the company’s interpretation of the results, not proof that every automated campaign works better.
The Associated Press added important context: Meta’s overall revenue rose while profit fell, partly because of legal expenses and severance costs. The platform is growing, but growth does not remove questions about trust, cost or what advertisers receive in return.
Why your business should care
If you run a local service, online shop, restaurant, event or creative project, you have probably asked some version of the same question: Why are my Facebook ads getting more expensive without producing better customers?
More inventory does not mean less competition. Automated targeting can help place an ad, but it also makes competent campaign setup available to almost everyone. When the same tools optimize the same formats toward the same goals, generic creative becomes easier to ignore.
Your advantage moves upstream and downstream: a specific promise before the click, proof that feels human and a landing page that continues the story. A beautiful ad with a vague offer wastes attention. A cheap click into a confusing page wastes money.
The KILLER.COOL take
The algorithm is a delivery driver. It is not your creative director.
Use Meta’s automation for the work machines do well: testing placements, finding patterns and moving budget toward useful signals. Keep people responsible for the work that makes a brand recognizable—point of view, taste, language, proof and the decision about which customer is actually worth reaching.
Do not ask one ad to explain the whole business. Give it one job: earn the next action from the right person. Then make the destination answer the question the ad created.
Turn paid reach into remembered demand
KILLER.COOL would define the audience and offer, create a recognizable system of paid-social ideas, build focused landing pages and run structured tests across Facebook and Instagram.
The work is designed to improve the quality of attention—not merely its volume—using qualified visits, leads, bookings or sales as the useful signals. Winning creative becomes a repeatable content direction; weak messages get cut before they consume the budget.
Automation can make distribution efficient. Strategy and creative make the distribution worth paying for.

How KILLER.COOL solves it
A paid-social system with digital strategy that clarifies the audience and offer, creative direction and social content that make the brand recognizable, and paid-media testing designed to improve qualified visits, leads, bookings or sales.
Compact playbook / 04 moves
Make Facebook and Instagram ads work harder without making more noise.
- 01Choose one customer problem and one next action for the campaign.
- 02Create three genuinely different ideas—not three captions on the same ad.
- 03Send each ad to a fast page that repeats the promise, proves it and makes the action obvious.
- 04Judge the test by qualified leads, bookings or sales; keep the message that attracts the right people.
