VOL. 001ISSUE 015SOCIAL × SEARCH

The post survived the scroll.

Google now shows how Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube posts perform in Search, Discover and News worldwide. The KILLER.COOL take: social content is searchable inventory—not disposable feed filler.

What happened around the world

The post did not die when the thumb moved on. It got a search report.

On July 29, Google made Search Console platform properties globally available. Brands and creators can now connect Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube accounts and see how their posts perform across Google Search, Discover and Google News—even if they do not own a website.

Google says the reports show clicks, impressions, search position, top posts and the query themes sending people to social and video content. Its new guide also recommends comparing platforms, spotting sudden traffic in a 24-hour view and finding older posts that have started attracting search interest again.

Fresh reporting on August 3 confirmed the rollout and the practical distinction: this is not another view of likes inside TikTok or Instagram. It measures how content is discovered across Google's surfaces. That worldwide layer turns a social post into something a creator, retailer or service business can evaluate beyond its first burst in the feed.

Why your business should care

Your next customer may search a question and land on a Reel, a TikTok explainer or a YouTube video before they ever meet your homepage. Now you can see which questions opened that door.

A Montreal drum teacher can learn whether a short technique clip appears for a lesson query. A Toronto retailer can see an old product video regain attention. An artist can compare whether a full YouTube performance or a short vertical clip earns more discovery. The point is not to chase every keyword; it is to notice which useful ideas keep travelling.

The limitation matters too. Search Console reports visibility on Google's surfaces, not the native reach or engagement inside each social platform. It also does not turn discovery into a business result by itself. Without a clear profile, useful landing page or next action, attention still has nowhere valuable to go.

The KILLER.COOL take

Search and social just stopped pretending they live in different departments.

Do not stuff a Reel caption with keywords until it reads like a robot wrote the guest list. Start with a real audience question, answer it in the format the platform rewards and make the brand unmistakable enough to remember after the answer lands.

Then connect the winning idea to something you own: a deeper article, a product page, a booking flow, an email relationship or a project inquiry. Searchable social content should widen the entrance to your business—not rent another dead-end hallway from a platform.

Build one discovery system

KILLER.COOL would connect the available platform properties, map the search themes already finding your content and identify which posts deserve a sequel, refresh or owned landing page.

Digital strategy joins search intent to business priorities. SEO and editorial content turn recurring questions into durable topic clusters. Social content and creative direction make each answer native, recognizable and worth sharing. Websites and interactive experiences give discovered audiences a focused place to compare, subscribe, buy, book or inquire.

The intended outcome is a connected content system that learns from real search behaviour, extends the useful life of strong social work and improves the path from discovery to qualified action.
